Change and Release Coordinator

Acosys Consulting is looking to hire a Change and Release Coordinator for its client.

  • Coordinating the delivery of code from various development teams to QA environments
  • Scheduling and monitoring build efforts with integrators and database administrators
  • Leading the change in the CM process to be in line with an Agile environment
  • Coordinating releases to controlled environments with internal SMEs
  • Support the software release build cycles for multiple product lines
  • Work closely with multiple teams and define deliverables and schedules (this is done by Jennifer DeSousa)
  • Ensure that all system changes conform to the defined company processes
  • Manage and chair/facilitate regular CAB meetings and reporting
  • Create, produce and publish quarterly reports and matrix to show trends in change and release management
  • Ability to evaluate current trends in the industry and make recommendation with action plans on implement relevant trends to ESC
  • Develop and update documentation to define processes within Release and Change Management
  • Identify continuous improvements to the change/release processes to ensure the processes stay aligned with ESC strategies
  • Develop, maintain, and execute training materials relating to change and release management
  • Maintain and execute the Employee Emergency Notification system as required
  • Ability to work various shifts to support release activities
  • Other projects as assigned, such as business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives        
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in managing and facilitating CAB processes including in Agile environments
  • 5 to 7 years of experience with ITIL-based Configuration, Change and Release Management
  • 3 to 5 years of experience coordinating release implementations
  • 3 - 5 years working knowledge of software development life cycles, enterprise database systems, UNIX (HP-UX) environments, and source code control systems
Must Haves
  • ITIL v3 certification
  • Ability to manage change using an ITIL based change management system
  • Ability to identify and ask leaders about potential risks of deployments during CAB
  • Good problem solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with other departments to resolve complex issues with innovative solutions.
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change in a dynamic work environment
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload, meet multiple deadlines, within both a team and independent role
  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to demonstrate ‘Listen to Learn’ skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines including limited travel and on-call rotation.
Nice to Haves
  • Work experience in an Agile work environment, specifically relating to change and release management
  • Work experience with Cherwell
  • Work experience with Crystal Reports
  • Work experience with SharePoint
  • Work experience with emergency notification systems
  • Work experience with Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, etc.)
  • Familiarity with healthcare/insurance or PBM industry an asset
